Rounding the Corner

Well, here we are at the end 2014. It’s been a year. Conjuring Justice is out. The biggest part of the story is out for masses. It is incredibly quiet, although I know that I have ruffled a feather or two. I know that by the signals I get from the periphery. The subtle rippling of the proverbial pool of justice. It is out there and I hope to turn it into a full bore whirlpool.

It has become apparently clear that the definition of jurisprudence in Escambia County is different than in the rest of the world. Sadly, it has a similar definition to cronyism. “Cover your ass” and “one hand washes the other” are the themes of all the circumstances around the Billings’ Murders and the reasonings that took so many lives. It is the most deplorable, sleazy, genuinely most corrupt affair that could be dreamt up.

It is such a far-fetched story that it is unconscionable that it is true. So many people and no moral fiber to speak of between the bunch. In a day where civlians lose their lives due a political strategy and an on-going homeland operation, it is unbelievably unethical to lay those deaths at the feet of innocent men. Denying the entire time that anything, diabolical is going on, even as the judge is commandeered and the prosecutors are having unrecorded interviews with suspects prior to law enforcement, that completely skew the horizon of the entire case. Sabotaging at every angle to cover up a bad political move regarding a territory war, the court officers and legal experts who are paid to ensure justice all conspire to make names for themselves in the face of a very brutish attempt to let one cartel snuff out another with terrorist acts. That is in fact what happened in Pensacola, Florida on July 9, 2009. It should be seen for the animalistic act it is.

The Reckoning Approaches

First off, let me tell Cab Tice, Justin Billings, & Mr. Hugh Wiggins: YOUR TIME IS APPROACHING. I know your pride and arrogance prevent you from that on a daily basis. However, there is a collaborating effort of some very intelligent, previously distant people with information who have your head in their sights. The worst news about this is that I AM ONE OF THEM.

To say the least, the last week or so, in perusal of the evidence in the public domain, some fascinating devils hidden in the details that have been long overlooked have been found as well the keys to the conspiracy. It seems the diligence is paying off. Things are happening in quick succession and will culminate in the overturning of the death sentence of Patrick Jr.

I have had the opportunity to understand this crime a bit from another perspective. An advocate of Lenny Gonzales aka Sr, his brother Richard, is on a mission to get his brother out of his current death sentence from cancer in prison. We found that we had similar goals with which we may be able to create an alliance. That along with the collaboration of others who lost the political roll of the dice that sent innocent men to prison for murders they did not commit, will be the downfall of the collusion and corruption. I have always believed that the more I knew about each of the people involved and their reasoning for ending up in a part of the best and most overwhelming conspiracy in Pensacola, I would have the advantage. Knowledge is power. It is cliche but it is also absolutely true.

Who had the primary motive to kill Bud? Everyone has unanimously pointed the finger at the one and only Cab Tice. Although Justin did so initially, he later pointed a finger at a cartel and a friend of his Walter Davis from Colorado. A connection possibly links Mr. Davis of Colorado to a random text received 4 days after the murders to the current Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas. The text merely said “Pat Poff!”. He deleted it but when another came in, he was compelled to make a police report. The number the text came from goes back to a lady in a community south of Austin, Texas, ie just on this side of the Mexican border. One of her previous addresses is in Colorado. Maybe this a tenuous connection to Mr. Davis spoken about by Justin.  But why would anyone have felt it necessary to send such an ambiguous text to someone with apparently nothing to do with this case? The timing is post-arrest of Pat. The clandestine “Good Old’ Boy” system never leads to anyone to Superintendent Thomas, yet someone the conspiracy does. This point of this is lost on me but it is something I am sure is important.

So the latest facts uncovered this last week via a cooperative effort of people who have come forth who knew Patrick or the conspiracy are these:

1. Someone had GSR on their hands the night of the murder. It is deemed transfer and inconsequential. However, this person was not known to have touched either victim or the gun.

2. Cab Tice was interviewed FIRST by Homeland Security prior to deputies.

3. Blue Markham was a co-worker/ friend of Patrick’s at Allen Turner. They had a relationship.

4. Dr. Berkland, a pathologist had human organs stored in a storage unit about a month outside the murders. The hypothesis I have is that these organs are the pieces of the 4 bodies found in the white van left to scare Gary Sumner just prior to the murders. Dr. Berkland was also the doctor that did the second autopsy of Willie Junior at the family’s behalf. Not knowing if the family came to them or him to the family, I have little doubt he could be scared into doing something for a power higher than a conventional boss but lower than the hand of God.

5. The DNA reports were worded a bit off. Most of the different items of evidence are worded oddly. Most of the evidence has a statement that reads: “DNA profile could/count not be identified”. If it could, the name of the people included or excluded as possibilities are listed. There are several things where it says simply: “DNA profile could be identified” without any further statement. It doesn’t say who could be implicated or who absolutely cannot be, like other results, page after page, in these reports. Absent info….makes me question what or who the profile linked to.

6. The text to Superintendent Thomas, just the curiosity of the connection.

7. Assuming Patrick did lead these men/boys into this fatal act, why would Patrick bring in so many people HE DIDN’T know? Only way 2 people can keep a secret is if one is dead. Now we have 5 people who don’t know each other from Adam trusting their lives, safety and mission is secure. The logic of the conspiracy prevents me from seeing any benefits to bringing unpredictable elements into this situation. With every additional person, the likelihood of getting caught goes up exponentially.

8. This wonderfully modern van used as the getaway car. An unreliable vehicle is the most ridiculous thing to ever take to any type of crime with any forethought. This well thought out plan to “invade” the home Billings’ is being left to novice strangers and vehicles that are older than many of the participants. The common sense threshold is completely absent.

9. During the testing of the blue fibers of carpet in Lenny’s van, FDLE is notified to by John Molchan to stop processing the evidence. The fibers are literally in the midst of processing. The only conclusion raised prior to the call was the fibers were consistent with what should be in that van, meaning the original carpeting. Then it is set off to the side along with a list of other evidence with is NEVER tested at all. Now that van is disposed of with no way to prove it was or wasn’t the correct van.

All of this is  just an example of the things that independently don’t seem relevant but when put into the puzzle with other facts have to make even the most skeptical question the convictions and witch hunts that were carried out in the name of the Billings family.

How Does SHE Fit into This?

Throughout this entire case, the one anomaly from start to finish–aside from the incompetency of the justice system–is the involvement of Pamela Long Wiggins. In asking Patrick, the answer I got was not exactly what I expected. His explanation clears up a great deal.

According to Patrick, Pam was the “golden goose”. Hugh took an interest in her because of her assets: her antique shop, yacht as well as a few real estate properties.  She was a good front for laundering money and was easily manipulated. Patrick’s involvement was to protect the “golden goose”. He hung out with her and ran errands with her. Hugh’s involvement with the ultra-bad guys made her a target especially when he went out “offshore”. “Offshore” in his case consisted of his various rendezvous excursions with his Mexican connections.

In the process, Patrick found he genuinely liked Pam. This is the reason Hugh wasn’t concerned about the time Patrick spent with Pam. The bigamy charges?  That was all Hugh. He was concerned if Pam was ever questioned about his illegal businesses, she wouldn’t be compelled to testify if they were married. The fact the marriage wasn’t valid wouldn’t be initially known by the police. It would work until he could get her out of any trouble.

So she was a commodity to Hugh, his Golden Goose. Well played, Mr. Wiggins…you hung your Sugar Mama out to dry.

DEA Negotiated With Mexican Drug Cartel Members: Report

This report was released by El Universal, a Mexican media outlet.  They received the official documents of the intelligence this report is based on.

“We’re all mad here!”

It boggles the mind that this case could be so engrossing and yet depicted as so simple. Pensacola is corrupt. It is rotten to the core. This murder is less than 3 degrees of separation from any one there. But I have to say I was surprised at some of the people in the mix. Doctors, lawyers. The connection of the Billings to Sheriff David Morgan is a “humdinger”.  He is associated to Arety  who is a “colleague” of Billings. We can trace that influence to the spat with County Administrator, George Touart, then you get links to W.D. Childers & Willie Junior. Everyone remembers Willie Junior, right? Committing suicide under a house? THIS IS ALL SO BIZARRE!

I half expect Capone descendants to come out of the woodwork! The murders of the Billings’ is just needle in the pine. It is small event in a larger picture. The two major cartels were battling over territory that inevitably resulted in only one standing. Then we have the guns. The guns are the guns linked to an Homeland Security investigation…..which investigation might that be????  Oh, the one where we allowed “gunwalking”  We let suspicious  people buy guns with paper bags of cash. So we could “track”  those guns.  But those guns showed up in the murder of  DEA agents.

Let’s look at the timelime:

    •  July, 2009-Billings’ murder. Hugh Wiggins is caught with an arsenal of guns. He receives an immunity deal that covers multiple federal, state and local crimes.
    • August, 2009-the official “gunwalking” begins under Project Gunrunner; guns were tagged & recorded to follow up on where they “turn up”.
    • September, 2009- June, 2010- Three major DEA operations make huge arrests involving guns and narcotics coming from Mexico.
    • Early 2010- Los Zetas officially severs ties with the Gulf Cartel. By most accounts, the Gulf Cartel ceases to remain an organization.

Is it possible that Hugh Wiggins’ dropped a dime on someone in July that resulted in the events mentioned above?  Absolutely.

Where does that leave Escambia County?  We have 2 murder victims. It has made national news. Sheriff Morgan states repeatedly in the press that Patrick Gonzalez Jr. is the mastermind and the murderer. He says it to newspapers, national news syndicates, local news. Everywhere you look you see David Morgan’s face less than 10 days after the murder claiming this has all been wrapped up in a nice little “home invasion robbery”.  What happens when an FBI evidence report puts Hugh Wiggins’ DNA with Byrd Billings blood on a pair of gloves? The report is tossed aside.

My Further Travels down the Rabbit Hole

So someone choreographed 5 men to storm a compound that is fully established with cameras, to take some money from an old man.  This is the story if you drank the Kool-Aid. This is the ultimate puzzle wrapped inside an enigma. The risk in this crime is high. The gain is low. No money actually came from it. Why so many men? Why at that location? Why? Why? WHY?

Then I see an article somewhere that says there is drug involvement. Makes sense, but still… So I look into this drug matter. I find that the DEA has an on-going investigation in the Pensacola area and in particular 2 cases involving Byrd Billings. NSA also has some oversight.  A 73 year old man? Dope? NSA? DEA? Then there’s Patrick’s story of it being BIGGER than a robbery. That makes more sense to me than a “simple robbery”. The DEA documents suggest that Byrd Billings was being investigated for trafficking heroine, laundering money and human trafficking from a Mexican cartel, Los Zetas who were brokering an alliance to some degree with the Gulf Cartel which is loosely connected to the Columbo crime family. What?  This guy has 13 foster kids. Trafficking humans? Heroine? Jesus Christ!

Then I watched Justin Billings interview.  It was a couple of hours. He never cries. He is matter of fact in his statements. He doesn’t express any kind of emotion. No anger, no grief. He claims that his friend Walter spared his girlfriend for a price. What? Spared his girlfriend? What the hell does that mean?  Is this guy high? No one seriously does this right? He’s spinning a yarn but implies he knew this would happen and he protected his girlfriend. Why would a simple robbery have any thing to do with a teenage girl? And if he knew what was to happen, why not go to police? or to his parents to warn them? Who the hell is Walter? Why is he not investigated? He seems to have some knowledge of this hit. Walter is never talked to or about beyond this interview.

It is ironic that when deputies arrived at the crime scene, Ashley Markham, Melanie’s daughter & her husband James “Blue” Markham were there. Justin was there by then. They told police about the video but it was Justin they asked to get the video because he was the only one there who knew how it worked. They didn’t wait for someone from in law enforcement to touch the video. They allowed the family to get the video. In a perfect world, the family would have no reason to do anything to skew evidence in a murder investigation, but this world isn’t perfect. Could there have been tampering? And if this surveillance system is so sophisticated that Ashley, Blue or any other learned person couldn’t figure it out, who was supposed to disable the cameras the way like every single one of the suspects said would happen?  Justin, perhaps? But he is never looked at. Why? I’m just not understanding the breakdown of protocol from law enforcement. The family had roughly 30 minutes before the crime scene investigators got there. There were people walking around. No order to the scene. Is it possible some things were “taken” to not be found by the police? Is it possible things could have been altered to appear one way with another being the truth? From the beginning, this investigation is bungled.

Corruption on the Horizon: A New Approach

I have spent months trying to come up with the PERFECT blog post. Truth be told, there is nothing much new happening. That’s a damn shame considering a man is sitting in a cell smaller than most people’s bathrooms with his life hanging in a constant purgatory state of nothingness. But this is the first day of a new year and a new approach is in order.  I resolve to blog every single day about this case. I want this case in everyone’s face–day in and day out. I have a new plan that I am working to persuade Pat to go along with. It’s a “humdinger” 🙂

The most dismal part of this story is that with all the news about the federal government “spying” on the people, makes the truth of this crime more palatable and credible. We all know the extent of the corruption of our civil liberties; why would it be such a stretch to think it would sacrifice a low level criminal?  Patrick Gonzalez was the sacrificial lamb. As much of the of a stretch as that may be, it is the truth.

Not one single person who has spent any time in good ole P’cola is oblivious to the corruption in the car industry. Ciano, Mercer, Cassiano, & on the seedy side Billings.  Cab Tice is in the mix somewhere and wanted to be the head honcho. He and Hugh Wiggins took out Billings. Wiggins sang like a canary to the feds & told nothing to Escambia County Sheriff’s Department, but then Bill Eddins got the “good ole boy” nudge to do what he had to do to appease the community from the feds. So with no evidence and only uncorroborated testimonies of 2 scared kids, Patrick Gonzalez sits on Death Row.  Now here is the million dollar question…how could the community believe that line of bull? It took 3 trials before Stallworth was convicted and there was actual physical evidence that linked him to the murders. That didn’t exist in Patrick’s trial; yet a guilty verdict was reached by 12 people who were made to believed they were “doing the right thing” according to Sheriff Morgan. I posted just one of the videos of the “Great” sheriff tooting his own horn. It is funny that he definitively states he has no knowledge of DEA involvement in the Billings murder or on the periphery of the case, when there is documentation to the contrary.

Florida Sheriff and Prosecutors Conspire to Cover-Up Double Homicide

According to public records, Florida Sheriff and prosecutor conspire to put man on Death Row.

Pensacola, Florida—Public records show that Sheriff David Morgan of Escambia County and prosecutor Bill Eddins  prosecuted Leonard Patrick Gonzalez Jr, knowing that he was not the shooter in the Billings Murder. After being alerted to the misconduct, court files and public records were shown to corroborate that prosecutors knew that Patrick Gonzalez Jr. was not the mastermind they portrayed him to be. With influence from on-going investigations into the Pensacola connection to the trafficking of humans, drugs and weapons by the Drug Enforcement Agency and ATF, a paper trail shows a conspiracy that was allowed to facilitate a bigger concealment of one of the DOJ’s biggest faux pas, the Fast and the Furious, run by US Attorney General Eric Holder.

Hugh Wiggins, the most likely shooter of the Billings’ was given a federal immunity deal to provide evidence on what the public thought was the illegal activities of Patrick Gonzalez Jr. but it was really about his dealings as a gunrunner involved in the Fast and the Furious as well as  information he had as a drug runner for Los Zetas, a high tech cartel known to be using Pensacola as a conduit for its activities to and from Atlanta. This is held by the FBI and is confirmed by a source close to the case. Facts collected by Escambia County Sheriff’s department show Hugh Wiggins to be in possession of the murder weapons–not Gonzalez. Also Wiggins and his wife were in possession of the only thing taken from the residence–the safe.  According to a source working with the Gonzalez defense team, further DNA testing that is in the DEA investigation file proved that a black glove found in Wiggins’s possession had his DNA and the blood of Byrd Billings.  This evidence is still involved in an “on-going” investigation. Bill Gray, a Drug Enforcement Agent was in charge of this end of the investigation. Again all evidence that points to Wiggins not Gonzalez as the organizer of this crime.

In Hugh Wiggins’s immunity deal and information given to Escambia County Sheriffs, Mr. Wiggins could provide no proof of Gonzalez’s involvement other than his own personal statement which was questioned by the deputies at the time of the interview. They continually tell Wiggins that he is providing no evidence yet this is the “smoking gun” testimony that is supposed to implicate Gonzalez Jr.  Wiggins claims that Pam Wiggins, his wife was involved as was Gonzalez and Cab Tice because they told him so. Although, he never addresses the obviously inappropriate relationship his wife had with Gonzalez, which would give him motive to implicate Gonzalez and his wife or the fact he was the one with all the damning evidence in his possession.

The need for someone to “hang” and the inability to prosecute Wiggins as the shooter or mastermind due to an FBI immunity deal which was never provided to Escambia County Sheriffs, led to a conspiracy that was carried out by law enforcement and prosecutors to put Patrick Gonzalez on trial with no evidence other than co-conspirator testimony that is uncorroborated by any evidence.  The need to meet the demands of the public became so important to Morgan and Eddins, that they knowingly proceeded with a trial. Each then basked in the glory of the conviction. The public defender that represented Gonzalez is also reaping those same benefits by being appointed to a judge position.

As for the testimony of the two co-conspirators, facts not made clear to the public, show that two different teams entered the Billings house that night. Two men through an unlocked door who were dropped off by one car and the other three that came in the van, which was by Blue Markham’s admission, a van that came from Byrd Billings’s lot. The fully cloaked men arrived and left separately. Isn’t it possible that the three in the van who never saw the other two men unmasked on the site were duped into believing the identity of the shooter was Gonzalez by a man who was jealous of his wife’s close relationship with Gonzalez?

Discernibly, there  is no evidence tying Gonzalez to the guns, the safe or the crime scene. There is documented evidence in each of Hugh Wiggins ‘s presence or possession of these damning pieces of evidence.  The question must be asked why law enforcement and officers of the court allowed an innocent man to be sentenced to Death Row? What motivations were there to not inform the public about the nefarious criminal presence in the community? Why was an innocent man allowed to be put on Death Row in the national spotlight?  Why were politicians able to glorify their victory in this case to enhance their careers, knowing the injustice that is clearly laid out in their own documents?

The Victims

Byrd and Melanie Brock Billings were residents of Pensacola, FL. They were known in the community for their seemingly altruistic endeavor of taking on special needs children in a rather bulk manor. They had within 9-14 within the passing years.  They were mourned after their murders as pillars of the community. Kind, giving people who were senselessly murdered.

This is far from the truth. Byrd Billings ran a buy-here-pay-here lot. Prior to that he made the bulk of his money by owning a seedy strip club on the west side of town called “the Backseat”. It was on a street known to locals as being the highest crime and drug ridden in area the city. Byrd was now in a different business with the same type of clientele now in the used car business. He was known as being one of the less-than-law-abiding of citizens. In truth, despite his “humanitarian” act of taking in disable kids, he was NEVER the pillar of the community and the kids couldn’t change that perception.

Melanie Brock was one of Byrd’s stripper’s at “the Backseat”.  She was significantly younger than Byrd but when they married she had 2 daughters. Ashley & Nikki.  Nikki was a disabled child which is probably the reason they took in the other kids. The girls were accepted by Byrd as his children even though he had grown children not in the area as well as an adopted son, Justin that he had full custody of.  Ashley, in fact, worked with Byrd at the car lot with her husband, James “Blue” Markham. The family seemed close-knit.

Also there was speculation of exploitation of the children in the household. When there is a person of Byrd’s character and prior deviant acts, putting him in proximity to special needs children, does not leave much doubt he was somehow exploiting them.  He made a very public attempt in the early 2000’s to copyright his kids’ names and tried to sue Department of Children and Families for every document mentioning the names of the children.  It was eventually thrown out, but this is the man we are dealing with.  He also was convicted of adoption fraud in 1989, in an attempt to obtain his son Justin. Somehow he was allowed to keep the child in lieu of his conviction. That remains questionable.  This is the pillar of the community that is put on display after the murder.  The society of the city wouldn’t have spit on Byrd Billings to save his life  then he is murdered and martyred to the country as a philanthropist or humanitarian.
