Doug Underhill: Captain Contrary

Thursday’s vote by the BOCC to require 50% of LET Funds to be used for school security had only one dissent, Captain Contrary, aka Doug “Underling” Underhill. Quelle surprise!

Dougie likes to say he is for “a new way of thinking” in Escambia County, but actions pack a stronger punch. His actions are in support of GOB. He voted the crony line without a legitimate or reasonable rationale. How is protecting our kids not in the best interest of the county?  Captain Contrary believes we should not protect kids but instead,  help the public image of the ECSO.  WTF?

There is no legitimacy to the open cronyism shown in this vote. Those of us who pay attention see the pattern. If Bergosh votes for it, Underhill will vote against it. It doesn’t even matter what the issue is, Underhill has to back his political Godfather, Sir David.  It is blatantly obvious the county’s best interest is lost to the Morgan-Underhill alliance.

I will acknowledge that I have no love for Morgan and Underhill, but it is clear that over the past 5+ years, my message has been consistent–there is soul-sucking corruption in Escambia County and it begins at the ECSO & Sir David.

I have been labeled a “lunatic”,”lone nut” and even a “political terrorist” by the Good Ole Boys (Underhill & Morgan). However, over the past few years, we’ve seen Morgan waste countless dollars putting his face on everything from billboards to movie screens. This money did not deter crime nor did it even improve the safety of neighborhoods.  Morgan’s use of county funds has been invariably self-serving. The community sees this.

I have been told this violation of the public’s  trust is NOT, per se, corruption, but I have to disagree. The political capital Morgan reaps is a real thing.  Frequently, I have been contacted by people about Morgan coming into social functions, unannounced, with LET checks. After he makes an entrance, he turns over a check in exchange for envelopes of campaign contributions openly, in front of a room full of people.  Campaign contributions for LET funds. That, my friends, IS corruption. If Underhill does not see the problem with Morgan’s fiscal buffoonery, then he needs an ethics lesson.

Above all, the consensus is that Underhill somehow profits from the back room politics too.  Morgan became a millionaire on the public’s payroll. I suspect Underhill, a contractor/developer and his property appraiser bulldog of a wife, are manipulating things involving the valuation of real estate perhaps. The real puzzle is the facilitation of the Honorable Sheriff to sell his Crow Rd. properties to PCEnvy Technologies, a tech company owned by Underhill’s buddy, Steve Stillwell. What does a tech company do with slumlord properties??

But Captain Contrary will insist there is nothing there to see. Willie Junior said that too, about a pot of collard greens.

The Reckoning Approaches

First off, let me tell Cab Tice, Justin Billings, & Mr. Hugh Wiggins: YOUR TIME IS APPROACHING. I know your pride and arrogance prevent you from that on a daily basis. However, there is a collaborating effort of some very intelligent, previously distant people with information who have your head in their sights. The worst news about this is that I AM ONE OF THEM.

To say the least, the last week or so, in perusal of the evidence in the public domain, some fascinating devils hidden in the details that have been long overlooked have been found as well the keys to the conspiracy. It seems the diligence is paying off. Things are happening in quick succession and will culminate in the overturning of the death sentence of Patrick Jr.

I have had the opportunity to understand this crime a bit from another perspective. An advocate of Lenny Gonzales aka Sr, his brother Richard, is on a mission to get his brother out of his current death sentence from cancer in prison. We found that we had similar goals with which we may be able to create an alliance. That along with the collaboration of others who lost the political roll of the dice that sent innocent men to prison for murders they did not commit, will be the downfall of the collusion and corruption. I have always believed that the more I knew about each of the people involved and their reasoning for ending up in a part of the best and most overwhelming conspiracy in Pensacola, I would have the advantage. Knowledge is power. It is cliche but it is also absolutely true.

Who had the primary motive to kill Bud? Everyone has unanimously pointed the finger at the one and only Cab Tice. Although Justin did so initially, he later pointed a finger at a cartel and a friend of his Walter Davis from Colorado. A connection possibly links Mr. Davis of Colorado to a random text received 4 days after the murders to the current Escambia County School Superintendent Malcolm Thomas. The text merely said “Pat Poff!”. He deleted it but when another came in, he was compelled to make a police report. The number the text came from goes back to a lady in a community south of Austin, Texas, ie just on this side of the Mexican border. One of her previous addresses is in Colorado. Maybe this a tenuous connection to Mr. Davis spoken about by Justin.  But why would anyone have felt it necessary to send such an ambiguous text to someone with apparently nothing to do with this case? The timing is post-arrest of Pat. The clandestine “Good Old’ Boy” system never leads to anyone to Superintendent Thomas, yet someone the conspiracy does. This point of this is lost on me but it is something I am sure is important.

So the latest facts uncovered this last week via a cooperative effort of people who have come forth who knew Patrick or the conspiracy are these:

1. Someone had GSR on their hands the night of the murder. It is deemed transfer and inconsequential. However, this person was not known to have touched either victim or the gun.

2. Cab Tice was interviewed FIRST by Homeland Security prior to deputies.

3. Blue Markham was a co-worker/ friend of Patrick’s at Allen Turner. They had a relationship.

4. Dr. Berkland, a pathologist had human organs stored in a storage unit about a month outside the murders. The hypothesis I have is that these organs are the pieces of the 4 bodies found in the white van left to scare Gary Sumner just prior to the murders. Dr. Berkland was also the doctor that did the second autopsy of Willie Junior at the family’s behalf. Not knowing if the family came to them or him to the family, I have little doubt he could be scared into doing something for a power higher than a conventional boss but lower than the hand of God.

5. The DNA reports were worded a bit off. Most of the different items of evidence are worded oddly. Most of the evidence has a statement that reads: “DNA profile could/count not be identified”. If it could, the name of the people included or excluded as possibilities are listed. There are several things where it says simply: “DNA profile could be identified” without any further statement. It doesn’t say who could be implicated or who absolutely cannot be, like other results, page after page, in these reports. Absent info….makes me question what or who the profile linked to.

6. The text to Superintendent Thomas, just the curiosity of the connection.

7. Assuming Patrick did lead these men/boys into this fatal act, why would Patrick bring in so many people HE DIDN’T know? Only way 2 people can keep a secret is if one is dead. Now we have 5 people who don’t know each other from Adam trusting their lives, safety and mission is secure. The logic of the conspiracy prevents me from seeing any benefits to bringing unpredictable elements into this situation. With every additional person, the likelihood of getting caught goes up exponentially.

8. This wonderfully modern van used as the getaway car. An unreliable vehicle is the most ridiculous thing to ever take to any type of crime with any forethought. This well thought out plan to “invade” the home Billings’ is being left to novice strangers and vehicles that are older than many of the participants. The common sense threshold is completely absent.

9. During the testing of the blue fibers of carpet in Lenny’s van, FDLE is notified to by John Molchan to stop processing the evidence. The fibers are literally in the midst of processing. The only conclusion raised prior to the call was the fibers were consistent with what should be in that van, meaning the original carpeting. Then it is set off to the side along with a list of other evidence with is NEVER tested at all. Now that van is disposed of with no way to prove it was or wasn’t the correct van.

All of this is  just an example of the things that independently don’t seem relevant but when put into the puzzle with other facts have to make even the most skeptical question the convictions and witch hunts that were carried out in the name of the Billings family.

***************NEWS FLASH***************

This week Roy Jones Jr.,hometown boy and boxing phenom, submitted paperwork to put his name in for the mayor of Pensacola. Those of us who know “the know”, have no doubt that Roy will be the next mayor. I also saw that David Stafford, Elections Supervisor of Escambia County claims Roy is ineligible as a candidate for mayor because the city charter requires the mayor to be a registered voter and have lived in the city for a year prior. Clearly, Mr. Stafford has not gotten the memo of who Roy’s affiliated with—Fred Levin.

Mr. Levin is Pensacola royalty. He is a well connected attorney that seems to be set upon the highest of ivory towers. A favorable word from Mr. Levin equals a free ride. I have personally seen him with Ron Samuels during his cocaine days. David, his brother was also a presence and he was a “mentor” to Emmitt Smith.  Fred was the manager and financial backer for Roy.  Although the business alliance has fallen to the wayside, the Levin name is carte blanche in Pensacola and Roy Jones is the prodigal son.

Funny thing about Fred Levin, when the Pensacola corruption scandal involving his buddies, W.D. Childers and Willie Junior, he publicly ridiculed those involved. It seemed Fred had cut the kite strings to his long lived friendships with Childers and Junior. Then looking at what happened to the two “chums”–one went to jail and one dead. Junior planned on telling everything he knew and died in a bizarre set of circumstances. I, personally, was shocked to hear Levin disparaging his besties and especially before everything hit the fan. Fred jumped off the sinking ship that Childers and Junior seemed to be captaining. Hmmmmmm….the “good ole boy” system gone bad.

Revelation

To fully understand the business, political, criminal climate of Pensacola at the time of the death of Byrd and Melanie Billings, you must understand all the players in the “good ole boy” system.

April 30, 2002

W.D. Childers, Willie Junior, Mike Bass and Terry Smith, all Escambia County Commissioners, were indicted on political corruption charges including bribery, coercion, and racketeering. This was the soccer complex scandal. The commissioners offered to buy the defunct complex and Stalnaker dealership from Joe Elliott and his wife for an exorbitant amount of money, far exceeding the value of the property.  These commissioners were paid to vote for the deal.  What comes out in the wash with casualties is the laundering of money from “unnamed” sources.  Stalnaker Mazda, an auto dealership in Pensacola is one of the many tied to organized crime. W.D. Childers is convicted and jailed ending a 30 year political career that included a seat on the Florida Senate for 8 years.

Willie Junior, a character in the Pensacola landscape owned a funeral home.  He became the first black commissioner since Reconstruction in 1977. He was a presence in the history of the city.  In 1986, he made news for having a drive-thru mortuary. People could drive by to see their beloved in a window. He was flashy and lived far beyond his means. Junior slept around and gave at least one mistress a job until the affair ended when he promptly fired her. Historically innovative and eccentric to boot, he was convicted like Childers. In Willie style of drama, he conveniently disappeared before he was sentenced. For a month, no one knew what happened to Willie.  It was speculated he fled or was in hiding in the city. He was still causing news in his own way until December 9, 2004, Willie’s body was found under an ex employee’s house. He had 2 Heineken beers and a empty bottle of pills. The autopsy said cause of death was due to anti-freeze poisoning that had been in the beer. To everyone this was just too bizarre to be a suicide. Willie Junior had style. He was a legend in his own mind.  Would he go get a haircut  on November 9th and crawl underneath a rundown house like a dog to die? If anybody has seen the movie “Next Friday”, Willie Junior reminds me of Pinky from that movie. He was that kind of man. Crawling under a house?  Not dramatic enough for Willie. Just doesn’t make sense.

Until you look at Willie, he issued a 6 paragraph public statement saying W.D. Childers’s greediness got him into this and he was going to “blow the lid of further corruptions” by  W.D. Childers, Mike Bass, Terry Smith and others. Not a smart thing to say publicly.  He agreed to be a “star witness” in further investigations. Then Willie is found dead under a house. This is the Pensacola that gave birth to Ron Samuels’s cocaine dealing and hiring of hit men, as well as the Billings Murders. Screwing with the money train of the Pensacola auto business is deadly.  This is all linked my friends.
